Follow Through and Time Management

One thing that makes working on a blog like this challenging is that I do not know exactly what I am offering. I have gotten excited about it being a thing several times and then something else happens and I let it go. I have too many interests, I end up doing nothing interesting! So here I am, back at it, typing away, trying to figure out what gets in my way.

Things that get in my way/ Excuses

  • Not enough time in the day

  • The kids

  • My partner

  • I need to clean the house

  • I have no alone time

  • I don't want to be on a screen when I'm with my kids

  • I don't know what the purpose of the website is anyway

  • It's not important

  • I don't believe in myself

  • I don't want to be seen

But if I've started, twice, there must be some reason. There must be some motivation for doing it. I hope to continue blogging until it becomes clear and then I can edit, keeping what is relevant and discarding what is not.

Things I can work on:

  • Time management

  • Get clear on what I am offering

  • Set a consistent practice

  • Write articles about things I struggle with myself and wish to learn about

What I'm going to do, I'm going to set some SMART goals:

DAILY- Work on this for at least 20 minutes a day. (Evenings, or while kids play outside. I can work on brainstorming in my writing book and only use a computer when they are not around)

WEEKLY - Run in the morning for 20 minutes twice a week. (Preferably in the morning, or evening, or drop kids off with a neighbour to go for a quick run)

MONTHLY -Learn how to ride a motorbike. (Get Kaya or Noel or Julia to teach me)
